The Dog Advisor Kent is striving to be the Ultimate Guide for Kent Dog Owners, there is a lot to cover!
Do you have your own dog(s)?
Yes I have Toby, a challenging cockapoo who is literally my pet project along with The Dog Advisor!
How do you start your day?
My day starts with my dog and a cup of tea! Toby comes up to see me when Mr Dog Advisor heads up to London early doors and I make a cup of tea or we go back to sleep I'm not a morning person!
How does a typical business day look for you?
A typical day will include a few hours work for my main client National Garden Scheme who raise lots of money for nursing charities by opening gardens some of which welcome dogs! Toby and I either go for a walk in our local fields or we might go to agility or training or meet a friend. And then more work trawling the internet for fun dog events to add to my Dog Advisor database for example or updating the community website I also run as part of my business McKenzie Web Solutions.
How do you finish your day?
My day finishes with sofa and telly with my dog preferably under a blanket!
What do you most love about running your own business?
The Dog Advisor is along with Toby my pet project! I love using my technical skills and being creative with the website to bring the information I hold on my database to dog owners in easily accessible ways it's very much a work in progress! I also love the Dog Advisor Business Community and the interactions I have with the different business owners, it's very rewarding and makes working from home for myself more fun.
And your least favourite thing?
Invoicing!
What would you like to say to dog owners reading this?
I'd like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and thank the dog owners who use The Dog Advisor without whom there would be no point and to all the Doggy Directory business members who make it possible! Have a pawsome Christmas, we'll be taking a break and will be back on socials in the New Year!
